Who are we and what do we do?
  • Hudson Bay Bookstore dba LibraryBookshop is located in Cass City, Michigan. Our company structure is a public/private partnership dedicated to creating support solutions for libraries through books.
  • We contract exclusively with community libraries and library districts
  • We sell books, music, and movies to individual customers worldwide
  • We create a unique LibraryBookshop storefront and web address for each library
  • We provide access to millions of titles, including the latest new releases
  • We send 10% to 15% back to member libraries
 
What do we offer member libraries?
  • A unique LibraryBookshop storefront and web address specific to each member library
  • Complete web site operations, order processing and shipping
  • Personalized service (all marketing materials and press releases are approved by each member's library Director or designee)
  • Welcome packets that includes support information and promotional items (examples include banners, staff buttons, pencils, & bookmarks)
  • Quarterly commission checks for participating libraries
 
How are we successful?
  • Our prices and service are competitive with Amazon and Barnes & Noble — we offer a price-match policy guarantee
  • We provide free shipping for orders over $25 and friendly, responsive service to our affiliates and customers
  • We market individual LibraryBookshop web sites to local district residents and alums to build online sales
  • We incorporate, when possible, local library events into marketing materials
  • We can customize each LibraryBookshop with featured titles that coincide with library events and reading programs
  • We help the member affiliates sell their used books online (comming soon)
  • We provide members with direct access to their LibraryBookshop sales data
